| dc.description.abstract | The Carriage Barn Concert Series at Bennington College welcomes jazz duo Matthew Shipp (piano) and Michael Bisio (bass) Wednesday, Mar 13 2019, 7:30 PM - 9:00 PM. The Matthew Shipp / Michael Bisio Duo has performed throughout the US and Europe, including NYC, London, Dublin, and Seattle. They have two highly-acclaimed duo recordings: Floating Ice (Relative Pitch) and Live in Seattle (Arena Music Promotion). 2019 marks a decade of continuous creation for the two in various formats. Recent highlights include trio performances at Newport Jazz Festival, the Buenos Aries Jazz Fest, and a sold out performance at Carnegie Hall. In the last ten years, Bisio and Shipp have appeared on eighteen records together. Signature (February 2019) is their newest release on the groundbreaking and historic label, ESP. | en_US |
