- Source: Music of the Avant Garde is an extremely rare Magazine that was produced in 11 issues between 1967 and 1973. It was created and produced by students and teachers from the University of California is Davis, California, and the highest distribution rate reached in the six years it was produced was 2,000 copies an issue. The magazine managed to cover an impressively wide range of subject matter, and included some greats of the time such as John Cage, Stockhausen, and Lukas Foss, to name a few.
