dc.description.abstractDate, time and place of events : The Captain Kirk Project • April 30 • 9:00 pm • Jennings Room 136. Come check out new music from Roi Ankori-Karlinsky, Jake Landau, Ned Haweeli and instructor, John Kirk. Forty-Five minutes of original, and traditional goods. Will be cozy. 7th Annual Bass Night • May 5 • 8:00 pm • Deane Carriage Barn. Bennington bass students will shake the floor boards and rumble the rafters in solo and ensemble formats. Obviously bad luck to miss this year. World Vocal and World Percussion Ensemble Concert. May 19 • 8:00 pm • Greenwall Auditorium. The World Vocal Ensemble joins together with the World Percussion Ensemble to explore full-throated music and rhythms from all over the world. Music from Corsica, Georgia, Haiti, Bosnia, Croatia, Nepal, Egypt, the Philippines and more! Electronic Music Spring Concert • May 20 • 8:00 pm • DownCaf Students in Electronic Music: Creativity and Sound I and II present their final projects in an informal concert. Jazz Ensemble Concert • May 28 • 8:00 pm • DownCaf. Original work plus brazilian and afro-cuban jazz and songs of MUNK plus MORE.
