"What We Left Unfinished"
The Smithsonian will be screening Mariam
Ghani’s feature film, What We Left
Unfinished, through March 21. Ghani will be
giving a talk on March 17. What We Left
Unfinished is about five unfinished Afghan
Communist films, the relationships between
art and politics in times of war, censorship
and repression, and how the unfinished
projects of the past haunt the present.
