To ensure and enhance the quality of the lived experience for Bennington students during this period, the College has undertaken a series of additional renovations — creating several new facilities through the revitalization and adaptation of existing buildings."Item Canfield Plans(2006) Schlatter, Andrew (Associate Vice President for Facilities and Maintenance)Floor plans were drawn as part of the Getty Campus Heritage Grant.Item Item Commons Cafe Ceiling Design Project (Design form)(2018-06-08) Isherwood, John; Stradley, John; Architectural Design TeamWe are excited to announce that the new Cafe space on the first floor of the renovated Commons building will incorporate a collection of so unique, custom light fixtures, designed and fabricated in a collaboration between the architectural design team and Bennington visual arts faculty and staff members Jon Isherwood and Michael Stradley. These fixtures will be arrayed in a pattern to create the ceiling over the bakery and servery area, becoming one of the defining features of the space. We would like to invite all members of the Bennington community to contribute to the generation of the form for these fixtures as part of the design process. Just follow the directions below-- 50 entries will be selected at random and used as the basis for the design of a unique fixture. Contributions will be acknowledged as a permanent part of the space.
