Letter from Susan Sgorbati
I'm writing to you as the new president of the Vermont Mediators Association with hope, energy and humility. I believe we are at a point in the organization where we can make a difference for the field of mediation, for ourselves, and for our larger community. Many changes and controversies are happening within the national mediation community over standards and ethics, credentialing, and definitions of what should or should not be mediated. we have an opportunity to develop sound and thoughtful responses to these issues. I hope within the coming year to have heard from all of you on these issue and that you will support the Board in their discussions and recommendations concerning these subjects. My overriding concern is to respond to you, the members, as you share your thoughts and ideas as to how to better serve you as members of VMA.
