Abstract
It was moved and seconded that the revised Plan for the
Permanent Orgnization of the Bennington College Community be
adopted . Carried
It was moved and seconded to have the quiet hour in the
Commons on Saturday nights 12 o’clock . Carried.
The following announcements were made:
1 . Thatthere will be a dance recital by Doris Humphrey
and Charles Weidman on November 13 uncler the auspices
of the Bennington Theatre Guild . Tickets will be free
for Guild members
2 . That all untrained animals must be kept out of the
Commons, living rooms ' and alcoves. Dogs over 4 months
of age must have licenses . Licenses may be taken away
if the rules are broken .
There are a great many telephone calls of a trivial
nature which interfere with the business calls of the
College. People are therefore asked to do less calling
and more walking
Yvette Hardman presented the results of the questionnaires
on evening meetings . Mr. Leigh spoke about the evening meetings
of last year and explained the plans for this year.
The following suggestions were made for improvement of
evening meetings :
1 . That meetings start at 7 : 30 PM stop promptly at 8:15.
The question period should stop at 9:00 .
2 . The E. P . c. members should meet with the faculty
regularly and object if they do not like the speakers.
3 . There should be a better organization with the guaranty
of a speaker. It would be nice to have each faculty
member speak .
Respectfully submitted,
