The following announcements were made : 1 . No student may leave college before one o'clock on Wednesday, June 28, without special permission from Dr. Leigh. 2 . All faculty members are staying until the twenty-eighth except Miss Rossman, Mr . Jester, and M. Guiton. 3 . No bicycles should be taken into the dwellings .4 . No parents will be permitted in Community Meetings or House Meetings. Trustees may come if arrangements are made beforehand. 5. Automobiles and pedestrians may not use the Jennings Estate as a short cut . 6 . The reception committee for next Year's class will consist of this year's social committee plus students from houses which this group does not represent . 7 . Topics discussed in the conference: How much time from class work should. project work take, when both are in the same field? Absences from college interfering with students' work. Reports to parents and school heads. Late rehearsals . Arrangement of evening meetings for next year. Election of members to the Student Committee on Educational Policies. A paper titled "Suggestions to the Council" which was handed in by two students was read. This lead to a discussion of the policies of the Community Council .Item Community Meeting Minutes May 25 1933(1933-05-25) Carr, LouiseThe following points were brought before the meeting: 1.There should be no smoking on the third floor of the Commons. 2. There are prowlers on the campus which makes sleeping out dangerous. 3. College material should not be used for sleeping out overnight. Any student so doing will be fined five dollars. 4. It was suggested that sun bathing be restricted to the further side of McCullough House and that bathing suits and kerchiefs be used only for this purpose. 5. This does not apply to student's families .Item Community Meeting Minutes November 9 1932(1932-11-09) Carr, LouiseA meeting of all members of the community met in the theatre at 7:45 on Wednesday evening, November 9. The purpose of the meeting was to unite the opinion of the entire college on policies and standards and to hear the reports of all College committees. The following students reported on the purposes and functions of the committees: Athletic Board - Elizabeth Johnson, Garden Committee - Helen Watkins, College Store - Mary Kent, Educational Policy Committee - Gretchen Hutchins, Heat and Ventilation - Louise Friedberg, College Publication Committee - Jean ConnerItem Community Meeting Minutes September 7 1933(1933-09-07) Carr, LouiseThe first Community Meeting for the second college year was held in the Theatre at 7:45 on Thursday, September. Elizabeth Shurcliff presided, starting the meeting with a welcome to the new students. The method of electing representatives to the Council was explained. Certain policies and regulations drawn up during the first year were read, also the standards and a few important rules. The latter included Dr. Osborne's regulations which state that any sickness must be reported to the infirmary immediately and that no trays may be taken to the dwellings without the doctor's permission. Miss Hill announced that there would be dancing for both faculty and students from four until five on the following Friday and Saturday. Mrs. Leslie explained the use of the library and the hours which it would be open.
