Abstract
"If the recent galley about Thanksgiving is designed as an oblique
announcement that the signers intend not to hold classes on Thanksgiving,
I would appreciate their circulating a more candid document saying so forthrightly.
In that case I also shall cancel my classes, in spite of my doubts
as to whether this is the best procedure to follow in changing college policy
on any issue."
