Abstract

Parkins (electric accordion, objects and electronics) and Chase (drums and electronics) create electroacoustic music that walks the tightrope between improvisation and compositional thought, exploring a complex palette of tonality, texture, rhythm and noise. The duo establishes themes and then subverts them, following a quasi-surrealistic thread like a “disciplined observer searching for details.” Wednesday May 18, 2016, 8pm, Deane Carriage Barn.
