Abstract
"A desperate situation exists in Biafra today. It is
estimated that as many as ten thousand Biafran men, women,
and children are dying a day. Five months ago, the death
rate was 300 a day; in July the toll had risen to 6,000 a
day. With complete disregard for all humane principles,
starvation is being used a s a weapon of war. If relief
does not come now, an entire population, 14 million people ,
may perish."
