Abstract
"Monday night's Community Forum was an indicative failure. It was a failure first because the discussion was not moderated to deal with one subject at a time, and second because it elicited so few specific productive recommendations. It was indicative because it exemplified the lack of clarity inevitable in any Bennington discussion of rights vs. responsibilities. Disagreement was more often over the manner in which the criticism was expressed than over the object of the criticism."
