"It is part of a chapter to Mr. Hyman's latest book, Poetry and Criticism: Four Revolutions in Literary Taste, published by Atheneum Publishers...It was originally done for a Literature Workshop at the College a few years ago at which faculty members Kenneth Burke, Howard Nemerov, Thomas Wilcox and Mr. Hyman talked about the poem from their different approaches." - Bennington College Bulletin
